Bill’s Book Shed

Bill’s Book Shed is a Phillip Island icon. Established in 1992 , it is run by a small but dedicated group of volunteers.

For over 30 years holidaymakers and locals alike have visited the much-loved Shed to buy books for whiling away a lazy afternoon or a sunny beach day.

All proceeds go to Melaleuca Aged Care and, since its opening, Bill’s Book Shed has raised over half a million dollars.

Stocked entirely from generous donations, it offers a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and children’s books.

In January Bill’s Book Shed hosts the Summer Book Sale every day from 10am to 12 noon.

Then, from February through December, it’s open every Saturday from 10am to 12 noon.

Bill’s Book Shed is located at 1 Watchorn Road, Cowes (next to Melaleuca Aged Care).

Donations of clean, saleable books are gratefully accepted.
