Independent Living
Melaleuca’s independent living units offer safe, secure and affordable accommodation for retired people 55 years of age and over.
Our units are in a quiet but central location in Cowes, close to the bustling shops and cafés of Cowes, including the post office, pharmacies and library, as well as the beach. We offer three options; Melaleuca Place, Melaleuca Suites and Melaleuca Village.
-
Melaleuca Place
Melaleuca Place is located on the corner of Watchorn and Settlement Roads, Cowes and comprises thirteen two-bedroom units and four one-bedroom units.
Each unit has a spacious, open-plan kitchen-dining-living area, as well as a bathroom, laundry, courtyard garden and garage.
-
Melaleuca Suites
Melaleuca Suites, located at 1 Lions Court in Cowes, comprises 10 suites. Each suite provides accommodation for a single person and includes a lounge room, kitchenette, bedroom and accessible bathroom for those with limited mobility.
Melaleuca Suites is a unique concept - a spacious communal lounge, dining and kitchen room enables residents to come together to enjoy their lunch and dinner each day as part of the Suites community (or enjoy their meal in their own Suite, if they prefer). Melaleuca provides our Suites residents with a chef-prepared lunch and dinner every day.
A separate communal laundry is also provided for Suites residents’ convenience.
There is a car parking space for each of the Suites.

Melaleuca Village
Melaleuca Village comprises twelve one-bedroom units located in garden surrounds in Lions Court, Cowes.
Each unit has a combined kitchen-dining-living area, separate bedroom and bathroom.
Car parking is available for a limited number of the Village units and can usually be accommodated.
